Could I just say he would only have had a pension if he had not been killed! In response to: Terry, looks like the service record of Lance Corporal 7474 William Bone 1st bn Cheshire Regiment has survived and can be accessed on the Ancestry site, sorry don't have a subscription. In response to: I'm currently researching the names on the Ketley war memorial and have hit a bit of a problem with this man. I cannot find any reference to his connection with the Ketley area other than that listed on the CWGC site which states "husband of E M Bone, 10 Forge Terrace, Ketley" when killed in August 1914. Does anyone have any connection to this man or widow? Thanks, Terry
