Martin, Many thanks for following up and also the new info on Rebecca and George. I've got notes on a George bap in 1791 and a William bap. in 1797, both in Llanvair Waterdine, both to parents George Hudson and Rebeckah. But currently no known connection to my Hudson branch, It shows the value of searching in adjacent parishes and also of searching on siblings to validate a trail. Best wishes Phil In response to: The relevant original registers have not been deposited at Archives, so all that is available is a neat, manuscript transcript. This dates, at a guess, from late 19th / early 20th cent and was one of the series produced with a view to printing and publication by the former Shropshire Parish Register Society, and from memory - forgot to compare - is by the same hand as for Clun and some others. These ts were of course made from the originals with the incumbents, possibly on loan. Good news is that it is pretty clear that there was but one couple of Richard and Mary Hudson. The baps as per your query were: 21.4.1800, Mary d of RH and M; and 1.8.1802 Ann d of RH and M. No further detail in either case. Noticed also: 14.6.1801 Rebecca d of George Hudson and Rebecca bap; 9.9.1801 George Hudson buried.
