I have been trying to locate an address - No12, Court 11, Frankwell, Shrewsbury - without success. It was in existence in 1886. Can anyone help me please?
Thank you, Mike, for your response. This address was, I believe, the home of Joseph and Elizabeth Phillips in March 1886 at the time of the birth of their first child Ada. I would very much like to know where it was in Frankwell.

I can't track down the exact location of No12, Court 11, Frankwell, Shrewsbury but I have a feeling that it was probably in an area that was demolished about fifty years ago to make way for the Frankwell Traffic Island or it may have been a little further north towards The Mount.
If you look at the images (not transcripts) of the 1891 census page RG.12/2112 folio 93 page 4 there is a reference to No.1 Court 10 Frankwell between 130 and 129 Frankwell in the 1891 census but bear in mind the house numbers may have changed in the last hundred years.
If you get the opportunity to visit Shropshire Archives sometime in the future they have some 1:500 scale Ordnance Survey maps of parts of Shrewsbury but I don't know whether they extend to Frankwell and if they do whether they will have the various Courts named on them.

I don't think the Court Numbers are given on the Ordnance Survey maps which presents you with a problem.
If you would like to give us the names of the family members then we could try looking them up on the 1881 and 1891 census in the hope that gives a clue as to the location you need.
