Hi all am trying to find out what I can about Richard BEDDOW. He was a Hairdresser in Shrewsbury in late 1800s. He died in 1882 & was living in Barker St Shrewsbury at his death.
Also wondered if anyone knows anything of a Thomas GRADY who was the son of Catherine GRADY who married my Gt Grandfather Richard William BEDDOW in 1901. He died in 1917 & she died in 1936 in Shrewsbury as the result of a fractured femur.

Hi,I'm a Beddows or should I say a Beddow. I have found a second cousin who is the fountain of all knowledge and has all the Beddow and DOVASTON family tree
also mention of a hairdresser who lived in Tarporley....

Sorry to have been so long in replying but other events in my life took over!
The above mentioned is my ancestor. He actually died the next year 1882.

Have a lot going on in my life so apologies for late reply.
I know a later relative lived in West Derby & had connections to a hairdressing establishment in Bootle but as far as I know the family did not have connections to Tarporley or the Dovaston family.

Not sure how much you know. I see there is a Richard BEDDOWES listed in the 1881 Census - a hairdresser living in Bridge Street (which is the next street to Barker St), born around 1821 in Yockleton. The entry gives quite a bit of information about his family. Could this be your Richard Beddow? Hope this is of help.
