Betsey TIPTON was christened in Wellington in 1846. Her parents were Isaac and Jane Tipton. I am finding it difficult to find further information. Can anyone help.
Hi, Betsy is shown on the 1851census under her proper name Elizabeth TIPTON with her parents and the siblings as stated above by Michael. Her father is a Puddler.
She is also show on the 1861 census in Ketley again with her family and Isaac is a Puddler in Ironworks.

Thanks. How or where can I access the parish register as I know she was christened in Wellington and I have a wedding certificate for her in 1846, it may not be her as the Father's name is Henry TIPTON.

The Shropshire parish registers (up to 1900) are available on the Find my Past web site (subscription or pay as you go). Click Search on the blue bar at the top, then select A-Z of record sets and put Shropshire in the Search box near the top. This will bring up a list of available records.
The baptism I referred to above took place at All Saints Church, Wellington because the parish included Ketley where the parents lived.
In your original message you said that Betsey TIPTON was baptised in 1846 but in your latest posting you say she was married in 1846. Perhaps you should go through your notes to establish when she was born, when she married and when she had her first child so we all know who we are looking for.

I have reviewed all the siblings in this branch of the Tipton family. I have found evidence of registration or baptism for all except Elizabeth. I have drawn the obvious conclussion that:
a) Betsey died and her death is one of the parish records which is illegible.( I have looked at the microfiche in the library) I can find no further information regarding her and have researched all Betsey's recorded on Ancestry etc
or b) Betsey and Elizabeth are one and the same person.
I now feel that I wll not find an answer.

Betsey appears to be the second of five children (Ann 1844, Betsey 1846, Benjamin 1848, Henry 1851 and Mary 1853) baptised by these parents.
The images of the original parish register show that the family lived at Ketley and Isaac is described as a Puddler at each baptism except Henry when the father is described as a Furnace Man.
You should look for a marriage about 1840-1844 and also look for the family on the 1851 census and those that followed.
