can any body tell me where budgetts passage was in  1901 census had family there unabel to find it

Budgett's Passage (formerly Sixty Steps Shut) was off Pride Hill, Shrewsbury.

If you provide the name of the family it will allow us to look at the original census page and then we might be able to give a more precise location.

Hello Again

The image below is taken from my book Shrewsbury Street Names by John L. Hobbs published in 1954 page 142.

You should be aware that nearby was another set of steps known as Seventy Steps which still exist in a much modified form.

If you look at the Google Street View image from this link you will see three modern shop fronts, Tesco, WHSmith and Post Office but if you then look above the shop names you will see an ornate shop front which was the front of Morris & Co referred to in the text above.  The area behind these shop fronts is now a modern development.
