Have just read online that in UK graveyards there is only a 99 year lease on a plot with "exclusive rights  of burial" and that after 75 years from the last burial in a mutiple grave it can be auctioned off. This was in an article regarding the Eleanor Rigby grave of the Beatles song. I have never heard of this. Is it correct and does it apply to churchyards and also municiple sites. Most intrigued as this means maybe I could be buried with my great grandparents!
