Chasing yet another Edward Jones in Shropshire, but with some details from the family bible as follows;
Edward Jones was born on the 14th May 1835 in Eaton Constantine and Margaret (? Maiden name) was born on the 15th Aug 1834 in Llanymynech. They were married (? Date/Place) and had at least 4 children (Richard Edward Jones DOB 5th Feb 1862 Ruyton XI Towns, William Jones DOB 28th March 1864 Ruyton XI Towns, John DOB 29th Aug 1865 Welsh Frankton, and Lizze Jane Jones DOB 5th Feb 1871 Welsh Frankton). Richard Edward Jones who is my Great Grandfather travelled to Australia and settled in Gundagai,NSW, Australia. It appears that Margaret passed away and Edward remarried Hannah (? Maiden name) on the 9th July 1878 and they had at least 3 children (Charles Harry Jones DOB 2nd May 1879 Welsh Frankton, Hannah Rose Jones DOB 14th Aug 1881 Rednal, Mary Maria Jones DOB 2nd Nov 1882 Rednal).
I have been able to find Edward and Hannah Jones and family (William,Lizzie and Charles) in the 1881 Census living at Heath House, Sutton, West Felton. Richard Jones is a servent/shop assistant with the Cooke family living in Wenlock. If anyone has or is able to find any further information it would be much appreciated.
