John BESFORD was the Innkeeper of the Spread Eagle, 54 Wyle Cop. His father Thomas BESFORD was the landlord there from 1811 until his death in1819. Thomas is buried in St. Julian's Churchyard, I believe.
John died in April 1827, aged about 44.
