I'm Bill, originally from Liverpool but have lived overseas for many years and currently in Melbourne, Australia.
We have been researching our 4th Great Grand Parents:-
John TURTLE & Sarah Davenport SIMCOE and both formerly of Holborn in London before heading to Shropshire. We have them residing in Whitchurch in 1811 and then moved on to live in Liverpool where they died in the work house in Liverpool, John in 1840 and Sarah in 1864.
We have quite a lot of information on both family names but would be nice to have more on their connection to Whitchurch and would be nice to know if any family connections still exist there or if anyone has any information they could add.
The TURTLE family leads back to Holborn and were Horse & Carriage Cab drivers, stable below and living above in Grays Inn Lane. The SIMCOEs also lived in Grays Inn Lane but have no idea where they originated as with TURTLE family name.
Any information would be appreciated and if there are any connected family members we can share what we have collated to date.
