A British soldier who is serving in India and his wife, have a daughter born March 1909 in Poona, India. Is the daughters nationality British/English or Indian or both?
Do you know about an index on Find my Past (subscription or fee payable) with the title 'British Armed Forces and Overseas Births and Baptisms' which includes nearly two million entries and might well include your relatives.
If the daughter does appear in the Overseas Births then that would help to confirm her British Nationality but I don't know whether they had dual nationality in those days.
