Does anyone know where Platt Cottages in Longslow were/are? Does anyone have any photos of them? My 4x great grandfather lived there in 1881 census. Thanks Vicky

My 4x great grandfather was John PLATT aged 82 born Staffordshire Muxton. He was living with his daughter Ellen PLATTT aged 26 born Moreton Say.
He was living at Styche Dairy House in 1841, 1851 and 1861 census and then moved to Longslow in 1871.

Looking at the original 1881 census page images I am guessing that the census enumerator used the name 'Platts Cottages' simply to identify the cottage that the Platt family were living in and that was probably the only time they were named like that.
When you look at the census page image the Platt family follow Mr HUDSON in Longslow Farm and the PLATTs are followed by what looks like Longslow village but there is a further complication because on old Ordnance Survey maps from around 1900 Longslow Farm is shown about quarter of a mile south of Longslow village but on modern maps that property is named Longslow House and Longslow Farm is shown in the village.
Sadly I don't think there is any way to identify the property occupied by your PLATT family in 1881.
