Richard Dixon SUMMERS born 1799 in Bridgenorth, died 1862 in Dawley. Married to Sarah Bennett MASON BINNELL.
Has anyone got any idea of where "Dixon" as a middle name came from?
I ask because his son, William, who was married to my Great Aunt appears to have changed his family name to DIXON upon emigrating to the US.
Richard's mother's maiden name was MASON, as far as I can ascertain, so the name doesn't come from her.
