I have recently discovered My great grandfather Herbert James PITCHFORD, ran the Talbot Hotel in Shifnal until he went to fight the first world war in 1917.He was killed in action (as other posts in here reveal)
I am unsure if it is the one on Bradford Street? any pictures would be helful. I know there is one in a pictorial history by syvia watts but not sure if this refers to a different tavern. don't know much else about him
