Shropshire Family History Society at St. Mary's Church, Shrewsbury

Shropshire FHS will be having a drop in event all day in the Church, with Local Interest Books, Local Maps and our Family History CDs all for sale, plus Society volunteers running our Shropshire HelpDesk to try and help you with your Family History/Genealogy questions.
Why not pop in to see us with your Family Tree questions or just to see what we are about?

This is the same day as the Shrewsbury Flower Show, so if you can get a pass-out, why not pop up to see us at St Mary's?

Burwarton Show 2016

Burwarton Show is one of the premier one-day agricultural shows in the country attracting some twenty thousand visitors each year to the glorious South Shropshire countryside.

After the last four very succesful years for us, we have booked a space again at this show to make contact with interested South Shropshire folk. smiley

Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society's Summer Open Morning

The 2016 MGS summer Open Morning will take place at Alberbury parish church on the Shropshire-Montgomeryshire border on Saturday 2 July, 10am-1pm.

Their new publication of the memorial inscriptions of Alberbury parish church and chapels is now ready from the printers and will be launched on the day.

As usual admission will be free and family history advice will be available.

Shropshire Family History Society will be having a stand with their products and their #ShropshireHelpdesk to try and answer you questions.

 

Wem History Day and Friends AGM

This study day to celebrate the history of Wem will be held in association with the Victoria County History. The day will include talks by Professor Richard Hoyle, Director and General Editor of the VCH, Dr Jonathan Worton, and Dr James Bowen, and optional guided walks of the town. We will also be holding the Friends’ AGM.

Price: £15 including lunch
