In this illustrated talk Dr Colin R Chapman describes many early censuses and population listings conducted, compiled and recorded for a variety of contemporary purposes by national and local governments, the Church and secular organisations and individuals. Such listings can offer us, today, unique family history data that fill gaps occurring in other genealogical sources.

Burwarton Show is one of the premier one-day agricultural shows in the country attracting some twenty thousand visitors each year to the glorious South Shropshire countryside.
We have booked a space at this fair to see if we can make contact with interested South Shropshire folk.
