David DRURY, 1st Btn K.S.L.I, Pte 14564 was KinA 18th Sept 1918 aged 23. On the 18th and 19th of September 1918 his battalion was involved in the ;Battle of the Hindenburg Line' in the region of Fresnoy-le-Petit NE off St Quentin. David was among the 200 men of his battalion who were killed or injured during those two days. He was killed on the first day of the attack and is buried in grave 11.A.8 in the Savy Cemetery in France. He was the son of William & Alice Drury of Leech Meadows, Sheinton, Cressage.
