Does anyone know the location of "the Hargreav..."?

The registers of St Mary's at Mucklestone contain various mentions of the Tinesley family in the 17th century. For example:

  • 2 December 1649—Edward Baugie, servant to Thomas Tinesley, of the Hargreav, buried
  • 27 December 1649—William Baughie, servant to Thomas Tinesley, of the Lodge, buried

Presumably "the Lodge" is Willoughbridge Lodge. But where is "the Hargreav"?

Hello Selden

There is one Hargreaves west of Shrewsbury but this seems unlikely.

There is 'Hargreaves Wood' in Staffordshire just on the east side of the M6 motorway and a little north of Trentham Gardens but this seems to have been known as 'Highgreaves Wood' in the late 1800's changing to Hargreaves Wood by the 1940's. Maybe the name has changed previously.
