I am tying to find the link between the above names regarding Catherine J GOODALL (GOODALE) born in Minsterly in 1879/1880 who lived with her uncle Henry BEVAN (born in Condover) as his niece on the 1891 census and is still living with him on the 1901 census for Shropshire.

Henry's wife was Elizabeth nee EVERALL. But I cannot find any information where Catherine is related to either of them.

I know that Catherine's parents were Willam and Martha Goodall living in Pulverbatch and that they died in early 1900's but where does BEVAN or EVERALL fit in ?

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Lorlors,

After several hours, I believe I may have found the connection between the various families you mention.

Elizabeth EVERALL who married Henry BEVAN in 1852, had a sister Jane who married James MORRIS in 1851.

They had a daughter Martha MORRIS Christened in Dec 1851. Martha was listed with Henry BEVAN and Elizabeth on the 1871 census, as a niece.

Martha MORRIS married William GOODALL in 1876 and they had a daughter Catherine. She was listed with Henry BEVAN and Elizabeth on the 1891 census, as a niece (should have been a great niece).

Both Elizabeth and Jane EVERALL were two of several children of Thomas EVERALL and Susannah, Christened at Westbury. He was a miner at Snailbeach.

Do please check all the above before adding it to you tree.

Hope it helps,

Gwynne
