I have done quite a bit of research to date. HENRY HIGGINS was born in Shrewsbury, parents WILLIAM & MARTHA HIGGINS.
In the 1801 Census he is on board HMS Pembroke Chatham serving as a Royal Marine.
His records from the National Archives show he enlisted in Manchester in 1873 aged 18 yrs. - Q Why Manchester
It also says he was in the Royal Shropshire Militia - Q does anyone know what the Militia was doing at this time.
