Hello,

I wonder if any of you can help me fill in a couple of blanks I can't find information on through Ancestry. My grandmother told me that one of our ancestors - an O'nion - was a foreman on the original Iron Bridge completed in 1781 in Shropshire. I understand that the Onions were a prominent and extended family in ironworks in the area. Is the foreman's name known to any of you? At some point this ancestor or a related Onions married a Chew, and that's the other name I seek. The furthest back I can find information for is Joseph Chew, b. 1804 in Ironbridge, who married Eliza Yates. I'd appreciate any leads! Thank you.
