I have a Philip Ashley in my line born abt 1737 and married to Lettice Edwards in Whitchurch 23rd Feb 1754. Although I have a copy of the Parish record for the marriage I cannot find proof of Philip's parents or exact birthdate. Lettice was born abt 1738 but again I have nothing before this.
I am planning another visit to the Shropshire Archive but wondered if there was anyone who might have come across records relating to these two?
I am also interested in any information on the Ashley surname in the Shropshire area as my reseacrh has widened into a one name study
