Hello - I have an Abel LLEWELLYN born 1835 and bapt. 19 Apr 1835 at Whittington Parish Salop.
He was illeg. son of Matilda LLEWELLYN . Abel married and lived in Liverpool as a Silk Mercer BUT he died in Salop and think it was Ruytoh of the Seven Towns and presumably buried Nov. 1879 Will these registers be on-line please I would like to find a grave stone.....
Thanks for any help

Hello WebMaster - many thanks for the burial record for West Felton - I think this is where
he came from originally - He went to Liverpool and married and had about 9 chldren some of whome
went to USA He did very well for himself as a Silk Mercer He married Theresa Patten
in 1890. But then he went back to Shropshire, maybe to find family.
Thanks again, much obliged
Joan
PS Abel Llewellyn when he married he said his father was Robert Llewellyn - actually his Grandfather was Joseph and mother Elizabeth....... Matilda was their daughter...... I have not quite worked it out.
Joan
Joan, local knowledge would suggest that it's Ruyton-XI-Towns you mean, or in full Ruyton of the Eleven Towns, not too far from Whittington.
However looking on FindMyPast for a burial for an AL in 1879, there is one at West Felton, birth yr 1835, aged 44, death 1879, burial 13 Sep 1879 in the Anglican Parish Church of West Felton and it says he was from Liverpool. Struggling to check for an Monumental Inscription but there are a couple of LLEWELLYNs but not an Abel,
