I was told today that in the near future all certificates will need to be obtained from the GRO in Southport. I have long been an advocate of the local Superintendant Registrar's office in the vicinity in which a particular ancestor lived and have found they give exemplary service, even ringing me up to make sure that they have the correct one if they have a choice.
