I am researching a family member Edward ADDISON who died in January 1947 at 4 Common Edge in Market Drayton, which I believe was the Union Workhouse. Can anyone tell me if this address was a workhouse in 1947, where it was in Market Drayton and where people were buried in Market Drayton from the workhouse?
Any help appreciated to get me started in then right direction.
Regards Marc Myatt

Hello Marc

Look it up on The Workhouse web site and see what that tells you.

Angela, I have looked at web site and it appears that the Shropshire Archives may hold some records between 1946 and 1948, I will visit the archives to see what I can find out.  Thank you for your help.
