I am researching my family tree, my grandad was John Edward Manley and lived in Atcham, he was born 1898, his father was Edward Manley, Mother Sarah Elizabeth Manley (Davies) they had 5 children in total, however 4 died before my grandad was born. My grandad was in the 1st world war, he met and married Hannah Elizabeth Alcock when she was in service in/or around Atcham, she was from Burton-on-Trent. They married and moved to Burton.

Thanks for that, have been on holiday only just seen your comments.
Basically I have a lot of information, but cannot find Army Records for John Edward Manley, possibly joined up before he was 18 according to my mum who is his daughter. He was gassed as a prisoner of war in WW1. We know he had a Sister Nellie and a brother George both died of diptheria in 1896 before John was born, but that he had two other siblings that died but we cannot find them.

Are you stuck with it because if so, we can help with censuses etc but we need to know what exactly you are having a problem with. Or is it that you are hoping that someone is related to you?
