Can anyone recommend online information on the era of horse drawn coach services from/ to Shrewsbury ?

Somebody told me there was a horse coach service called the "Shrewsbury Wonder" , can anyone verify ?

If you do an Internet search for Shrewsbury Wonder Coach it brings up several likely sources.

You should also check early Trade Directories which give the times and routes of coaches and goods waggons.

Thank you. I've found an article that cites John Butterworth, former editor of the Shrewsbury Chronicle, who also wrote a book "Four Centuries at the Lion Hotel".
Charles Darwin stayed at the Lion Hotel and caught the "Shrewsbury Wonder" Stagecoach there to London. The London terminus / departing point was the Old Bull and Mouth Inn, St. Martin le Grande.
