Hi everyone who reads this!
I am looking for information on Mary Hughes born approx 1820 in Clun Shropshire. Mary married Evan Evans from Welshpool Montgomeryshire and it appears Mary Hughes/Evans may have  died in childbirth in 1858 in Wolverhampton Staffs,   I believe Mary's father Benjamin Hughes was a barber/hairdresser and trying to find info about Benjamin and his family.

Cheers from Australia!

Hello,

You fail to state why / how you "believe Mary's father Benjamin Hughes was a barber/hairdresser" -

is this from family hearsay or have you got / had access to Census etc ? If so, which ones...

When requesting help, it helps potential helpers to state where you hold your info from (-:

Hi there,

so sorry for the scant info. I was in a rush! Someone found Benjamin Hughes on the census. The census was 1861 from memory. Sorry I did try and look for the census info, but have had computer issues lately.  Benjamin Hughes was living near the Evans Family. Evan Evans was  the spouse of Mary Hughes. Benjamin was listed as hairdresser. I am not a paying member of ancestry.com, but someone did  look up the census, The family were living in Wednesfield. Mary Hughes was born in Clun, so I am guessing her father was also. I am just curious about other Hughes family members from Shropshire. Sorry that's about all I can give you.

kind regards and thanks for the reply
