Does anyone have any information on William MORRIS left Shropshire England in 1867 married Catherine Maud WHOLOHAN?
I am William's great grandson.
Hi Mike, they were married in St Marys NSW Australia on the 6th of June 1897, William was from Shropshire I was after information on him and his family.

What was the date of birth of William MORRIS? Do you have anything to say where in Shropshire he was born or where he was living at the time he emigrated? Have you found him in the 1841, 1851 or 1861 UK census?

According to someone on Ancestry, he was born in 1867, dying 27 March 1953 Parramtta, NSW , Australia . You said that he LEFT England in about 1867 !
Was his name WILLIAM CUFFY MORRIS?
yes Angela his name was William Cuffy MORRIS, he was the mayor of St Mary's NSW in 1920. He is buried in the St Mary's General Cemetery with his wife Catherine Maud MORRIS nee WHOLOHAN.

I see that WHOLOHAN is a south Wales surname so do you have any evidence that your couple have a connection with Shropshire? Also, when and where did they marry?
