Does anyone have William Spragg or William Spread in their family history?
I think he was born in Church Stretton around 1750 he died and was buried at Upton Magna 5.1.1858 age 98(?)
There is a marriage of William Spragg & Ann Mops 26.8.1802 in the records office
They had a son Thomas b/c12.8.1813
Any help would be most appreciated.
It looks as though your William SPRAGG is the son of Thomas, is he around 68 years old? What is his address and who else is living with him? I do not subscribe to any of the web sites so I cannot look him up myself. I have pictures of Nancy SPRAGG myself, is she outside the cottage on the hill.

My Grandfather William b,1881 was living with his parents at Pimley cottage Uffington in1901.
I would be keen to know if Nancy Spragg was related.Williams father was Richard Spragg who was born at Easthope near Church Stretton c1845.

Obviously not the same family, their name was Sprag until the 1841 census then it changed to Spread don't know why, did wonder if it was because they could not read or write and just accepted what officials wrote down
Please look up Upton Magna burials.
